Joe is a 7 year old greyhound who has the nicest nature you could wish for. He is very sweet and placid and even when he arrived at KGR in tremendous pain, he was still wagging his tail and smiling. Joe was given up by his owner as he had broken his leg and he was facing the high cost of vet bills. The break was complicated and our vet has sadly had to amputate the leg.
Joe has lost one of his back legs but once he has recovered from the surgery we expect him to live a full and happy life. He is a very positive dog and should adapt to having 3 legs reasonably easily. He will not need much exercise but his owners will need to keep an eye on his weight. Joe will make someone a great friend.
