Martha - foster home need from 16th May

Martha was picked up by the dog warden in Ireland as a stray and is absolutely terrified of the whole world. The dog warden couldn't bear to put her into kennels so she is currently in a foster home in Ireland just gaining enough confidence to travel to the UK. She should improve quite a lot in the next couple of weeks but we would still love her to have a foster home once she arrives. She is a very sweet natured girl, and needs a foster family who will just let her get on with things and come around in her own time. Other confident dogs would be a great advantage. If you think you could help Martha please contact us on the numbers shown on the contact page or by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Stewie - I Would Love A Foster Home

Stewie is a 1 year old black male greyhound who has been retired early as he has broken his leg.   His leg has been repaired but he will need a home where he can take life easy and have a nice comfortable bed to rest his leg on and plenty of cuddles to make him feel better.   Stewie is a very nice nature dog who loves people an is good with other dogs

Hank - In Foster In Maidstone

Hank is a very shy but very sweet natured 3 year old greyhound who would love to have a foster home whilst he waits for his forever home.  Hank needs someone to show him that he can be loved and that he has nothing to be scared of.  We don't know anything about Hanks racing history but guess his was too timid to race so was retired early.

George - In Foster In Ashford

George is a very hairy handsome lurcher who is only a year old. He is not huge - just normal greyhound size. He is full of fun and loves other dogs. He has now been in foster for a few weeks and has been very well-behaved. He is now ready for his forever home.

Toby has been living in a home in North Kent with older children and a cat before he came into the rescue. Sadly his family lost their home so he has been placed in a rescue to find a new home.  He is currently living in Maidstone in a foster home with a male greyhound and a cat and is great with both of them.  His foster parents work so he is fine being left for 3-4 hours, so long as he has the company of another dog.  Toby is very well behaved and calm for a saluki lurcher and is a pleasure to have.

Charlie - Reserved

Charlie is a 2 year old lurcher who has been living in a home with young children.  He will make a great family dog for a family where someone is around for most of the day.  Charlie, like most lurchers, is very clever and would love to go to dog training classes.  As he has been living in a hom ehe is housetrained, good in the car and good with other dogs.

Branston - Reserved

Branston has now been in his foster home for several weeks and has proved himself to be a lazy lump!  He adores people and likes nothing better than a cuddle and some fuss.  He is around 6 years old and would like a new family who are going to give him lots of affection and 2 x 30 minute walks a day.  Branston is very sweet and has the most adorable expression which just says please love me.

Magic - Reserved

Magic has now been living in a family home in Maidstone for 6 weeks and is brilliant with the young children.  He is used to living in a home environment so is housetrained and can be left for a few hours if you work. Magic will make someone very happy as a family dog and could be rehomed with children of any ages.  He currently lives with a female lurcher and a male greyhound and is good with both of them.  He hasn't been too well socialised with some other breeds so will need some training but in time he should be fine, once he realises they are dogs and they are not going to hurt him.

Scooby - Reserved

Scooby is a laid back, affectionate and potentially lazy greyhound who finished racing a year ago and has been waiting for a space at a greyhound rescue ever since.  Scooby is very typical of the breed and will only need 2 x 30 minute walks per day.  The rest of the time he will enjoy lazing around.  Scooby is castrated, vaccinated, microchipped and had had a dental and quite a few teeth extractions.  He is very placid, great on the car and walks very well on a lead.  He is good with other dogs but would be equally happy being an only dog so he can have lots of attention.

Tilly - In Foster In Ashford

Tilly is a pretty year old lurcher who is looking for an active family where someone is around for most of the day.  Puppies and young dogs are hard work and time consuming and Tilly is no exception, although she will fill your house with fun and laughter.  Tilly is very affectionate and likes to have lots of attention.  As with all young dogs adopted from KGR, Tilly must attend training classes.  Tilly could live with other dogs but would be happy being an only dog, so long as she lives with an active family who will take her for nice long walks.
