Charlie is an 18 month old lurcher who will make the ideal dog for a retired couple or a family who are prepared to take the time to train him not to be so dependent on them.
Charlie is very affectionate and loves people and other dogs. He is currently living in a foster home in North East Kent, with children and is really good with them, but he is a dog that needs quite a lot of time and we feel that owners without children would be best suited to him. He would make an ideal pet for a retired couple with time to give him all the love he needs.
Charlie was left at home alone when his original owners absconded from their flat, and he was only found days later by neighbours. Because of this he has separation anxiety. This can be controlled (see our welfare section on SA) if you are committed to helping Charlie from the minute you adopt him. Having another dog would also help, unless you are at home a lot of the time and have the patience and commitment to help him.
Charlie cannot live with cats.
