Finn is looking for a new home with owners who will help his confidence grow - he is a beautiful boy but he is still a little timid so he needs a calm supportive home with routine.  He is great with other dogs he knows and can live with them.  He is currently kennelled with a female lurcher and he loves the company.  Finn can also be an only dog, so long as someone is around for most of the time and you have the time and patience to support him and make him settle.  He will settle quicker with other dogs.  He is currently living at our kennels and he loves playing in the paddock with the other dogs - he is a really happy boy.

Like lots of sighthounds, he can be a reactive with other dogs when on a lead - he does this because he is scared so he needs his owners to reassure him and keep him calm - this can be done following the advice on hound socialisation on our website.  Finn looks at the humans for guidance so if you stay calm and reassure him, he understands dogs are not so scary.

Finn is a lively young boy and he needs active owners who are around for most of the day unless you have other dogs and/or doggie day care solutions.  Finn is much more active than a greyhound and needs more exercise, mental stimulation and attention.

Finn was found wandering the streets of a town in Ireland, he was thin, undernourished, full of fleas and worms,he was said to have been days away from death. Luckily for him, he was found by a lady who  took him home and nursed him back to health. Despite having notified the Dog Warden, no one came forward to claim him.  He has lived in a foster home for 2 months before coming over to KGR.

Finn has a pet passport.

If you have children please read our section on children and hounds.  Finn can live with older children but we will expect you to sign up for and attend training classes with your children.

Please make sure you are in a position to adopt a dog, before completing the online adoption form. We are unable to hold onto dogs for more than a few days, once you have passed your homecheck.

We do rehome throughout the UK, so long as you are prepared to travel to meet the dog within a few days of applying for him and then again to adopt him, once you have passed your homecheck.
