Dennis is a lovely, sweet greyhound who’s currently living in a foster home with other dogs. He loves his walks with his foster brothers and sisters, and his favourite stop is Sandy’s Fish and Chip Shop in Folkestone — where he waits patiently with big, loving eyes for the lady to give him a chip!
He recently went on holiday and had a wonderful time enjoying cafés, pubs, and long walks. Dennis travels really well in the car and loves getting out and about to explore new places. This is Dennis walking to the pub, because he knows he will get a treat – we are in the Cotswolds so it was very busy and Dennis is on his own.
Like many greyhounds, Dennis is an emotional and sensitive soul. He doesn’t want a world where he has to think for himself — that can make him feel unsure and defensive. He needs a calm, understanding home, ideally with other dogs who can help him feel secure and show him the ropes. Alternatively, he could live happily with gentle owners who will let him settle in slowly, without any pressure or expectations.
In his foster home, Dennis is perfectly well-behaved and content alongside the other greyhounds. He feels safe following their lead and clearly enjoys the comfort and routine of home life.
Dennis is a gentle, loving boy who just needs patience, reassurance, and a steady environment. Once he feels safe, he’ll reward you with all the quiet affection and loyalty you could ever hope for.

Dennis is currently living in a foster home, but before that, he spent time in kennels, so some things may still worry or confuse him. He’ll need gentle introductions to everyday household items that could spook him and a bit of support as he adjusts to home life. With time, patience, and understanding, Dennis will blossom into a wonderful companion ready to join you on your next adventure.
Please remember you need to follow the 3-3-3 rule when adopting a new dog.
The “3-3-3 rule” for dogs refers to a guideline stating that it typically takes a newly adopted dog:
3 days to decompress after the change in his environment and the stress of having a new home and new owners.
3 weeks to start learning routines and bonding with their new family.
3 months to finally settle in and feel comfortable in their new home.
He has a European pet passport so can be rehomed outside the UK so long as you can travel to us to meet and collect him (we don’t transport/deliver) and we can arrange a home check in your area.
