Minty is just the cuddliest greyhound – he favourite thing is to snuggle into you for lots of love. He is really well behaved in the home, housetrained and he loves his walks. Like all greyhounds he is sensitive and emotional so you need to do his thinking for him – he arrived with a broken tail and had to have it amputated. This is purely cosmetic and does not change him at all (although we appreciate some will see him as less than perfect).
Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to see where to goes to when he starts his adventures.
Minty is currently living in a foster home, but before that, he spent time in kennels, so some things may still worry or confuse him. He’ll need gentle introductions to everyday household items that could spook him and a bit of support as he adjusts to home life. With time, patience, and understanding, Vince Pies will blossom into a wonderful companion ready to join you on your next adventure.
The “3-3-3 rule” for dogs refers to a guideline stating that it typically takes a newly adopted dog:
3 days to decompress after the change in his environment and the stress of having a new home and new owners.
3 weeks to start learning routines and bonding with their new family.
3 months to finally settle in and feel comfortable in their new home.
Vince Pies has a European pet passport so can be rehomed outside the UK so long as you can travel to us to meet and collect him (we don’t transport/deliver) and we can arrange a home check in your area.
When you submit an application form you will get an auto generated email straight back. This email outlines the next steps. We don’t process the applications until we receive your reply so please check your junk email. We use an automation platform to send emails, the email will be rejected. If you don’t receive anything from us as soon as you press submit – please let us know.
Please make sure you are in a position to adopt a dog, before completing the online adoption form. We are unable to hold onto dogs for more than a few days, once you have passed your homecheck.
We do rehome throughout the UK, so long as you are prepared to travel to meet the dog within a few days of applying for him and then again to adopt him, once you have passed your homecheck.
