Tara is such a pretty saluki lurcher. He coat is really soft and the hair on her ears is all crimped. She has a beautiful nature and just wants cuddles and love.

She had a difficult start to life and was straying and looking after herself for some time. She is still a little nervous but is really sweet and funny.  One of the photos in the gallery is Tara before she was rescued – when she was a stray living on the streets in Ireland.

Tara would love a family to care for her. She could live with other dogs or as an only dog if her new family are around a lot of the time or have day care solutions in place.

Tara needs a secure garden and a family prepared to take her to training classes. She would love to learn recall so that she can run and play off the lead.

Tara can live with children 10+, but please read our guidance on children and hounds. She may be cat workable and will be cat tested.  If you have cats please read our section on training cats and dogs.

Tara has a pet passport.

We do rehome throughout the UK, so long as you are prepared to travel to meet the dog within a few days of applying for him and then again to adopt him, once you have passed your homecheck.
