Twiggy was found as a stray so we know nothing of his background.

Twiggy is a young pup, around 6 months old, who was found as a starving stray. While we don’t know anything about his past, we can already see a bright future ahead for him with the right family.
Naturally timid around humans, Twiggy is still learning to trust – but he’s already made amazing progress in his foster home in Ashford, Kent. In just a week, he’s gone from frightened and unsure to curling up on the bed for cuddles. He’s currently a bit of a flight risk, but his transformation shows just how much love and potential he has.
Twiggy adores other dogs and is currently living with some fun-loving lurchers who are showing him the ropes. Ideally, he’s looking for a home with another confident dog who can continue to guide and comfort him.
He hasn’t shown any reactivity towards other dogs or cats so far, so he may be cat-workable if introductions are done carefully and guidance is followed. With the right setup and gradual introductions, there’s definitely potential for Twiggy to live with a dog-savvy cat.
He’s still very much a puppy – curious, playful, and learning about the world. One of his favourite games? Collecting “treasures” from around the house (your shoes may end up in his bed – fair warning!). He’s also got a habit of supervising you in the kitchen… just in case you drop a snack.
Twiggy will need patient, dog-savvy adopters who can help him feel safe and settled. He thrives on gentle guidance, clear boundaries, and consistent routine. He’s already picking up basic commands like “sit” and “wait.” With his big paws, he’s likely still got some growing to do, and he’s currently about whippet-sized.
His perfect home will have:
  • A secure garden (minimum 6ft fencing, no escape routes – this is a none negotiable)
  • Someone home most of the time
  • A calm, confident dog companion
  • A family willing to invest time, patience, and love
Twiggy’s adoption process will include multiple visits to his foster home to help build a bond before he makes the big move. We want to set him – and you – up for success, and we’ll be there to support you every step of the way.
Remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
It takes 3 days for a dog to realise they’ve moved, 3 weeks to begin to settle, and 3 months to truly feel at home. With Twiggy, this process is especially important – but the reward is watching a nervous pup blossom into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be.  You can read a lot more about  the 3-3-3 rule on our blog
