Greyhound Warm Tartan Fleece Jacket With Snood
Our tartan fleece coats are styled for greyhounds lurchers whippets and other dogs. The coats are warm with a fleece lining, have a snood for extra snugness and a slot for the lead to pull through. This will also work for the Cosydog harness although we recommend you wear the harness on top of the coat (so the outside) if your dog is nervous or fearful of other dogs.
They are ideal for deep chested dogs like greyhounds, lurchers, whippets, galgos and podencos but they do fit other types of dog.
Please note the nood is quite snug – it fits a regular greyhounds head but if you have amore stocky greyhound it may be too tight.
Sizing
You need to measure your dog from the base of his neck to the start of his tail (so the whole length of his back) and in inches that is the coat size you need, so if you dogs back is 28 inches – the winter coat size you need is a 28. A rough guide to the correct size is:
- 30 is for a normal male greyhound
- 28 is for a smaller male or normal sized female, or larger lurcher
The tartan jackets are also suitable for other breeds of dog, we know this because we sell a lot at events. They are not suitable for dogs with a wide head because of the snood.
