Why choose to volunteer at KGR?
Kent Greyhound Rescue relies completely on our band of dedicated volunteers. These volunteers are key to our success in rehoming around 200 dogs a year.
Everyone at KGR is a volunteer
We have no paid staff and we receive no funding from the racing industry or the government. We are looking to recruit new volunteers (unpaid) to help with the charity as we continue to grow.
Here are our vacancies (please click on the links for more information about each one):
Please only apply for a volunteer position if you have the skills and the time to commit.
Diversity
Kent Greyhound Rescue is firmly committed to diversity in all areas of its work.
We are committed to developing and maintaining a charity in which differing ideas, abilities, backgrounds and needs are fostered and valued, and where those with diverse backgrounds and experiences are able to participate and contribute.
We will regularly evaluate and monitor our progress towards diversity.
The only thing everyone needs is a passion for animals and their welfare.
Unfortunately, at present we are unable to offer volunteering to anyone under 18, including the DoE experience.
