Our volunteers work very hard to ensure our online shop sells a large range of greyhound clothing and pretty much everything else you could need. We love what we do, because we are all volunteers, and we know the profits go back to KGR to help fund the rescue.
We start by going to trade shows so we can see what is new and so we can talk to the manufacturers – these are great fun, and we can get very excited when we find new items. We were literally screaming with delight when we realised the sheep PJs were greyhound sized. We drink lots of coffee, spend too much time talking and come away buzzing with new ideas.
We then do a photoshoot to show the clothes at their very best or the toys being thrown about and/or cuddled – so you can get a better idea of what you are thinking of buying. We also choose a great location for a photo shoot – they say never work with children or animals and you can imagine how long it can take to get one good photograph. Even though our models are gorgeous -they can be easily distracted by a passing burger or suddenly become very camera shy. Or with Tigger – he is just exhausted from being so fabulous so had to have a lie down in the middle of a busy event!
