Weekly Roundup

It has been a busy couple of weeks here at KGR. We had 3 emergency arrivals, Willow the Italian Greyhound Cross, Sky a whippet and Betty a greyhound. All 10 years old and gorgeous girls. Willow has already left for her new home but the other 2 are still waiting to find theirs. They both have lovely temperaments so please don’t be put off by an elderly dog. They need to be loved just as much as anyone else.

Good news for Michael as he has finally been reserved along with Frank so hopefully they will be enjoying a new life together very soon with their family. Neil is also reserved as is Pepe. They will be leaving us shortly and wish them well.

We are very grateful for the overwhelming support you have given towards The Coronation Tea Party organised for the dogs. All the food was indeed homemade and very much enjoyed by the dogs. They were on the most part very restrained around the table! It was lovely to see them having a good sniff and in some cases stealing food as this is just a bit of fun for our dogs as they will not have experienced anything like this before and it is just a one off for them so thank you again and we will be creating a video very soon.

We will be at Sighthound Sundays at Jeskyns Country Park this Sunday between 10.30 – 12 if you would like to come and meet some of our dogs, Archie, Bob and Matty will be there but please remember to sign up before hand and pay your donation of £4. The money goes to various Sighthound charities so for a good cause. This is a great way of socialising the dogs and you can see them in a busy dog environment.
Some of our volunteers will also be joining the Mote Park walk with a couple of dogs from kennels. Its 9.45 for a 10 am start and is £2. They meet at the grassy area near the car park and cafe. We hope to see people meeting us at either of these 2 walks.
