Solly is a shy, but affectionate and playful boy. He has clearly had some sharp treatment by humans in the past and takes a little time to check a new human is safe …. After about 10 minutes you will inevitably achieve best friend status. It doesn’t take long, especially with treats!
Solly seems to have lived in a home before, and his foster mum thinks he will make a brilliant family pet. He is playful, active, and very funny, but is also happy to snooze and rest when you are working or watching telly. He loves a cuddle on the sofa and will need a tactile owner.
Solly walks beautifully on the lead and is good with other dogs. He is toilet trained, kind and polite. A dog you can be proud of and who you can take anywhere.
Solly likes his walks and will need at least two 30 minute walks a day, as well as some adventures and longer hikes at the weekend. He’s fairly lazy for a lurcher!
Solly has lost some confidence after being abandonded by his previous owner and would ideally like a home with someone around most of the time. His foster mum leaves him in a crate when she is out for a few hours, and he is happy to rest and snooze till she returns. Alone time outside a crate can be built up over a few weeks as he gains confidence in his new home.
Solly lives happily with 3 other dogs in his foster home. He could live as an only
dog or with another calm dog. He might try to hog the cuddles though!
He can live with children over 12 years and he is a playful and clever dog that would be a delight to attend training classes with. He’s very clever.
This is a really nice dog”
