Emma is a small (24 x 24) greyhound who is full of greyhound loving.  She is currently living in a foster home where she fits in perfectly with the other greyhounds, although she could be an only dog.

She is a happy, confident greyhound but she does need confident owners who will give her stability and routine.  She dosn’t mind being left (currently with other dogs) – she walks nicely on a lead and she is good in the car.  She is only young so she is more lively than a typical older rescued greyhound, but she still loves her sleeps and she is not one for getting up too early.

Emma arrived at our rescue terrified and traumatised – she currently hides in the back of her kennel.  Yet Emma was still racing 23 days prior to arriving at KGR – she came last in her final race and was a long way behind the winner, which tells us she was clearly forced to race and was not enjoying it.  We have done a lot of work with her and when she trusts you she is fine – and you can do anything with her.

She needs a home without children – other dogs will be good for her and she can be trained to live with cats.

Emma has a pet passport.

Please make sure you are in a position to adopt a dog, before completing the online adoption form. We are unable to hold onto dogs for more than a few days, once you have passed your homecheck.

We do rehome throughout the UK, so long as you are prepared to travel to meet the dog within a few days of applying for him and then again to adopt him, once you have passed your homecheck.
