Alma was Soberana

Soberana is a lovely, elegant, calm and friendly galgo who has travelled up from Spain where they have an awful life. She is very good with other dogs and will make a lovely pet. She is just so sweet, very affectionate and she really just wants to be loved and to give lots of love back. She can either live with other dogs or be an only dog (as she is in her foster home) but she does need someone who is around for most of the day.

Soberna won Best In Show at our Christmas dog show – she was fabulous on the day with all the other dogs and she really enjoyed meeting lots of people – she sulked when having her photo taken, as she is not a natural celebrity – but she is an amazing girl.

Galgos are similar to our lurchers – they look like greyhounds but they are more active and more intelligent and they need much more exercise. They are very gentle dogs and make great family pets.
