Amber was Tess

Tess is a young Ibizean Hound who is coming up from Spain to find a new home in the UK.  Galgo’s Podenco’s and Ibizean Hounds have an awful life in Spain, where they are used as hunting dogs and then discarded at the end of the season.  Tess is a very lucky girl as she was found and taken to a local rescue.  They have arrange for her to have a pet passort and  for her to travel up to the UK to find her forever home.  She will be similar in temprament to a lurcher rather than a greyhound (think more intelligent, less lazy!).

She has arrived and is tiny – only about 10kg.  She loves other dogs and is very playful and puppyish. Whoever adopts her will have to ensure she goes to training classes – although she is 10 months she is still very much a puppy and needs a family who have the time for her.
