PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR BLUE AS HE HAS A HIGH AMOUNT OF INTEREST.

Locations where Blue can be rehomed – Kent, South Hertfordshire, Sussex, Surrey, London, Essex.

Blue is 6-8 months old and has been living in a local home.

His family are unable to look after him due to their medical reasons, so he needs to find a new home.  He is currently living in a foster home.

Blue has gun dog in him (Vizla) – this means you need to be super fit and active.  He is great with other dogs – he lives with other breeds in his foster home.  He is also fine with cats although you will need to follow the training guidance.

Before you apply for him – please think through the consequences very carefully – he is a dog for life and we want him to go to a home and stay in a home. We know he is a bundle of scruffy cuteness, but he is also very hardwork – as are all puppies. And we cannot stress enough that he needs an active home.

You will need a bucket full of patience – lots of love and a never-ending supply of understanding.

He will have an endless amount of energy – because he is a puppy.  Are you prepared to amuse him, play with him and walk him until he is tired and content.

Even if you work from home – you still work and he will annoy you and try to get your attention – that’s what puppies do. You need to have the time to look after him and train him.

Puppies are gorgeous but they are really hard work.  You will need to be around for most of the time – not just during lock down – but also when it ends – he will still be a young dog in a years time. You will not be able to go back to work and expect to leave him at home.

That said, in the right home, he will be fabulous. He knows how to behave – he didn’t get a lot of training in his early years because of his mums illness but he wants to be a good boy.

He is a cross breed so we have no idea how big he will end up – we cannot even guess as he will be as big a nature intends him to be.

If we haven’t put you off enough – we will ask you again to please not get sidetracked by his looks and think about the upheaval a puppy brings into a home.

We are currently unable to rehome to all locations due to Covid restrictions – these change regularly so please read the latest herePlease do not apply unless we are able rehome in your area. We are currently in Tier 4 and we have to respect the restrictions.

If you have children please read our page on children and dogs.  We are unable to rehome to families with children under 10 as our dogs are not assessed and have rarely lived in a home before they arrive with us.

If you are interested in younger dogs (2 and under) please read our blog for more information.
