Charlie Bear is a very sweet boy. He’s fairly big ….. the height of a small greyhound, but ‘big boned’ with lovely big feet and a wider face. Charlie loves his humans and bonds with new friends in a matter of minutes. He is kind, cuddly and funny.
Charlie is all about the human, and prioritises cuddles over everything else. He doesn’t want to share the cuddles, so we would love to see him as an only dog, teamed up with someone who was around most of the day. He’s made for loving and he would be wasted in a busy home where he is always waiting for his human to return.
He is fine to leave in his foster home, where there are other dogs. New owners will need to build up the time alone as an only dog.
Charlie loves his walks, but he is an ambler … not a rambler. He does need to spend time outside (around one hour per day) but he would be happy to dander around the edge of the park… or read peemails along the footpath. While he is absolutely capable of walking a long way, he would also suit someone who isn’t able to walk far. It is time outside to sniff that is most important to him.
Charlie is good with dogs he meets out and about.
He can pull if he sees rabbits or foxes, so he does need someone fairly stong and steady on their feet.
Charlie is a very hungry boy and will be easy to train with treats. His new owners will be very lucky indeed.”
In his current foster home, he’s been enjoying various outings, including trips to Richborough Roman Fort, Sandwich Port, and the Sandwich Festival. He’s been incredibly well-behaved and has become a big hit with passersby.
