Foxy has been in kennels waiting for his forever home for some time now. We have no idea why and have invited him over to Kent Greyhound Rescue, where we are sure he will have better luck. He has had a week with one of our volunteers for assessment, but holidays are over and he is now back in kennels. We think he really needs to be in a foster home until his forever home can be found. You won’t be disappointed!

Foxy is just the easiest dog to look after. All he needs is a really comfy bed and a daily walk. If you are worried that your house is too small for a greyhound, then you are wrong – all he needs is a bed sized space when he will lie on his back for hours and hours on end, with all four feet in the air and a smile on his face.

He is completely reliably clean in the house, nor does he bark or chew. No sign of any separation issues.

He has the most beautiful nature and is a very gentle boy. Don’t think he is old though – he will happily go for long walks if that is what you prefer and does this beautiful bouncy trot beside you. He can be a bit strong when he sees rabbits and excitable when meeting some dogs, but this should resolve when he is out of kennels. He could live with other dogs or on his own.

He is much daintier and prettier in real life than in his photos – do go and meet him. He will make a wonderful family dog that you can be proud of. Just don’t forget to take a tin of fish with you – his favourite food!

Foxy is currently living at the kennels but he has spent 2 months in a foster home so he is fully assessed, house trained and used to being in a domestic environment.

Please make sure you are in a position to adopt a dog, before completing the online adoption form. We are unable to hold onto dogs for more than a few days, once you have passed your homecheck.

We do rehome throughout the UK, so long as you are prepared to travel to meet the dog within a few days of applying for him and then again to adopt him, once you have passed your homecheck.
