Hetty

Hetty is a fabulous young lurcher with a joyful personality and a heart full of love. Friendly, cuddly and happy, Hetty gets on well with other dogs and is sure to bring plenty of smiles to her future home.

Despite arriving at KGR with a broken leg (now healed), Hetty hasn’t let anything dampen her enthusiasm for life. She approaches each day with curiosity and, at only 2 years old, she’s keen on exploring. Hetty will need a home with secure 6ft fencing int he garden so she can safely enjoy all the sniffs to her heart’s content. 

Hetty is also wonderful with children and has a patient, gentle nature that makes her a lovely companion. With her affectionate personality, happy outlook and zest for life, we think this gorgeous girl is going to make one very lucky adopter incredibly happy.

Before applying to adopt, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the 3-3-3 rule. This is some of the best advice available to help a new dog settle successfully into their new home.

3 days – In the first three days, your dog may feel scared, anxious or overwhelmed. He may also test boundaries as he tries to understand his new environment.

3 weeks – After around three weeks, he should start to feel more settled and become familiar with his routine. This is often when his personality begins to shine through.

3 months – By three months, your new dog will truly understand that this is his home. He’ll feel relaxed, secure and trusting, and much more like himself.
