Messie Is a lovely affectionate lurcher who gets on well with other dogs and people. He was found locally as a stray, so we do not know anything about his background but he is just a really nice happy boy. Messie is super friendly and will even ignore food if it means he gets a cuddle.
He is only a young lurcher so he needs active owners who are around for most of the day – or who have proven doggie day care solutions. He can live with other dogs but he does like to play, so they would need to be ok with this. Messie is just a love bug – he loves everyone. He has lived in a home, but when he was found as a stray, they didn’t want him back – but he is used to being in a home environment. He will need to go to training classes – not because he is naughty but because he really hasn’t got a clue how to even sit. However, he is a clever boy and he is so willing to please he should be easy to train.
If you have children please read our page on children & hounds in dog and adoption section. If you have young children you and your children will need to attend training classes with your new dog.
Please make sure you are in a position to adopt a dog, before completing the online adoption form. We are unable to hold onto dogs for more than a few days, once you have passed your homecheck.
We do rehome throughout the UK, so long as you are prepared to travel to meet the dog within a few days of applying for him and then again to adopt him, once you have passed your homecheck.
