Scrappy is looking for a new home just 4 months after he was rehomed as a 7 month old puppy. With all puppies you have to set boundries and spend time training them – if you don’t you will have problems. Scrappy was super excitable and as he had no boundaries, he had no idea how to behave. Rather than go to training classes, his owners sent him away on a 4 week residential training course. This intensive training has done wonders for him and you can watch a video of YouTube of his “before” lunging and being excitable and then his “after” where he is almost perfect dog. However 2 weeks after returning home they made the decision to return him to KGR as they still unable to control him.
If you watch the video you can see what a well behaved, super dog he is – with the right owners. Who ever adopts him will have the benefit of all the expert training – they just need to keep it up. The training centre are more than happy to speak to the new owners as they understand him well and just want the every best for him.
Scrappy needs experienced lurcher owners – who will be firm but fair with him and set boundaries. He is just 11 months old and will need plenty of excercise and stimulation. Scrappy is an affectionate cheeky boy who has lived with another lurcher. It is really sad that he is back in kennels but hopefully it wont be for long and he will find his perfect family.
